In addition to Classical guitar lessons, Timothy offers basic Gypsy Jazz guitar tuition for lovers of the Django Reinhardt style of guitar playing. During his 6 years in Paris, the home of Django and probably the most thriving Gypsy jazz (known there as Jazz Manouche) scene in the world, Timothy studied with top flight Manouche guitarist Romain Vuillemin, working on the correct idiosyncratic right hand technique, 'Django' chord shapes and soloing licks and styles. Timothy went on to set up the 'Paris Gypsy Jazz Gig Going Troupe' and to perform and record three discs with various French musicians in the Gypsy Jazz genre, in addition to one singing and playing in a swing band and more recently performing in South Wales in a Gypsy swing quintet.
